GREENOVATION HACKATHON [03.09.20]
circular. bioeconomy. entrepreneurship.Everyone is talking about sustainability – at the GREENOVATION HACKATHON 2020 you will take action! Together with other passionate students and experienced mentors you will develop solutions to today’s grand challenges!
Earth overshoot day on August 22, 2020 marked the date when humanity exceeded the maximum capacity of resources for this year. Clearly, humanity would need more than one earth to satisfy the demands for products and services. The depletion of the earth’s resources comes along with climate change and an unprecedented extinction of species.
The GREENOVATION HACKATHON 2020 aims to develop entrepreneurial solutions to tackle such challenges. By developing products and services that reduce or compensate environmental footprints, finding smart ways to source future products from bio-based resources and using waste for goods through re- or upcycling processes, you will contribute to realize a better future.
From Friday (October, 23) to Sunday (October, 25) student teams will tackle the challenge of an earth overshoot by developing products and services for a sustainable economy. Over the course of the weekend, experienced mentors and entrepreneurs will help teams to move their ideas forward in a virtual event format.
Ultimately, teams will pitch the prototypes developed over the weekend at the closing event on Sunday evening. An experienced jury will provide feedback and teams will be awarded.
